Seventeen-year-old Dylan Kennedy's life hasn't been very easy as he's been more of his mothers caretaker than the other way around. He's bounced from one place to another until she dumps him in Oregon with grandparents he's never met and never knew he existed. Throughout his life, his only solace has been the dreams he's had of a girl he's never met. All that changes when he sees her in the woods behind his grandparents house. The pull between them is undeniable, and although he knows nothing about her, he can't bear to be away from her. Little does he know that chasing her will lead to the answers he's always questioned about himself and a world he could've never imagined.Let's see, what do I like about this book? Answer: pretty much everything. I really enjoyed the point of view switches which allows the reader to experience both Dylan and Kera's worlds. I felt like the characters were well developed and the environments were very visual. This book literally had me guessing at every page turn and I couldn't put it down. Berkley kept the pace very even allowing you to fully enjoy the adventure and the suspense. I had some questions in the beginning about "the firsts", but she answered them before the book ended. This is the first book I've read from Entangled Publishing so I am very excited to see what else they have to offer. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys young adult fantasy. You won't be disappointed.
