The Selection

The Selection - This review was written by Maggie Martin, staff reviewer with the Fantasy Book Addict.Honestly, the main draw of this book for me was the CW’s announcement that they were picking up the pilot. I really had no preconceived notions going into the book, only it must be pretty juicy for the CW to pick it up. I’ve heard the book described as a combination of The Hunger Games and The Bachelor which ended up being pretty accurate—minus the contestants attempting to kill each other off very graphically. America is the “every girl” that is easily relatable and likeable. Since she starts out despising her presence in The Selection competition, America doesn’t practice the same social niceties towards Prince Maxon like the other girls do. And he admires her fire and determination anyway. You can read her full review here: http://www.fantasybookaddict.com/2013/02/16/the-selection-cass/
