Darkest Mercy - Melissa Marr The Summer King is missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey. Aislinn tends to the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life. Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the Faery Courts, and in the final conflict, some will win . . . and some will lose everything. One of my biggest pet peeves is when an author drags out a series and it slowly takes away from what you loved about the original. This is not the case with Darkest Mercy, the final book of the Wicked Lovely series. I could not put this book down. I read the entire thing within one day. Melissa does a great job of tying all the storylines together. The book focused mostly around the Summer and Winter courts which is where the original story began. Some of the endings were not as I expected, but in the end, she convinced me that I was wrong. I loved the build-up all the way through and especially the last several chapters. Melissa did justice to her well beloved series and I couldn't be happier. I am a fan for life Melissa and I can't wait for the next series, Graveminder.I had a chance to interview Melissa back in 2010.
